The Iterations Series
Various Examples.
A series shaped by the quiet logic of repetition — how systems, natural or human‑made, shift through continual cycles of time and direction. These works explore what is lost, found and transformed as a starting point undergoes change, often drawing on images from other series to trace the subtle echoes that emerge through iteration.

Divided, Reformed, Repeated.
2020.
21 groups of images
The groupings created using segments of the original image - divided, reformed, repeated - until only rings of colour remain. As smaller segments are used the more repetition is required, for example:
60 degree segments create 6 variants
10 degree segments create 36 variants
0.5 degree segments create 720 variants
2511 possible iterations of a single image
Born from the stillness of the first lockdown, this work breaks a single image into countless evolving variants — a search for order, immersion and control in a moment of global uncertainty. Each fragment becomes a way of re‑seeing, reforming and repeating, turning one starting point into an endless field of possibility
