Young Creator's Lab is a creative programme for young people aged 10–15, led by Paul Liptrot - practising artist, creative educator and MFA graduate.

It begins from a simple belief: creativity is already within every young person, waiting for space, attention and permission to grow.

Each offering is designed as an entry point — accessible enough to begin gently, open enough to go somewhere unexpected. Whether it's a single afternoon, a four-week course or a nine-week programme, the aim is the same: to build the conditions for young people to notice, question, experiment and find their own way of making. Not about being good at art. About building the confidence to think, create and trust your own ideas.

Nine-Week Programme

The full Young Creator's Lab experience. Nine weekly sessions building toward a pop-up exhibition, where young people develop confidence, creative thinking and their own way of making. Small groups, real materials, a different challenge every week.

Four-Week Courses

Contained creative courses that go deep into a single theme. The Visual Dictionary — a four-week exploration of personal mark-making and visual language — is the first of these. Ideal for young people who want a focused creative experience without the longer commitment.

Activity Days

Standalone creative days during school holidays and half term. Each day is self-contained — come to one or several. Five hours of making, experimenting and discovering, led by a practising artist. No prior experience needed.

One-to-One Tutoring

Personalised creative sessions tailored to where your child is and where they want to go. For young people who want individual attention, a specific creative challenge, or a more focused development of their practice.

Petri Latex Workshops

Liquid latex, ink, and a steady hand. A one-off session where the material does half the work — and what it makes is always a surprise.
