School Workshops

Young Creator's Lab runs creative workshops in schools, built around the same programme already delivered at Lady Bay Scout Hall — adapted to fit your school's own timetable, rooms and after-school offer, for students of secondary school age.

Sessions are led by Paul Liptrot, a practising artist and creative educator with an Enhanced DBS (update service) and public liability insurance in place. Paul was the lead facilitator for the Midlands Maker Challenge at the Museum of Making in Derby, working with over 350 young people.

What’s on offer

An after-school creative club, typically running weekly across three or four weeks - the same format as Young Creator's Lab's Short Courses, timed to fit your school's existing after-school slots.

Sessions are built around the 5 Cs - curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication, with young people making real, physical work each week rather than following a fixed curriculum brief.

The exact length, timing and content can be adjusted to fit what works for your school — whether that's a shorter run, a different weekly slot, or a focus tailored to a specific year group or need.

How it works

Every school is different, so details — timing, room, group size, cost — are worked out directly with your school rather than fixed in advance. Get in touch to talk through what would work for you.
